M HKA Antwerp Seeks Artistic and Executive Directors Under New Shared Leadership Model
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp (M HKA) is seeking to fill the positions of Artistic Director and Executive Director, with the application deadline set for 1 November 2026. The Artistic Director will be responsible for the artistic vision and programming, while the Executive Director will handle the management of the organization and its financial health. In July 2026, the board resolved to elevate M HKA's artistic goals and partnerships. Established in 1987, M HKA is a founding member of L'Internationale. This recruitment is part of a transition process extending to 2028, following the cancellation of a new museum building in October 2025 and the reversal of reforms in the Flemish museum sector. The new hires will commence in spring 2027 and will develop M HKA's strategic plan for 2029-2034.
