M HKA and kunsthuis Yellow Art Launch Guidance Trajectory for Artists from Care Institutions

From June to September 2026, the Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp (M HKA) and kunsthuis Yellow Art in Geel will facilitate a guidance program for nine artists affiliated with care institutions in Antwerp province. This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between the realms of care and art, allowing participants to cultivate and present their artistic endeavors. The program consists of five sessions at M HKA, which will include discussions with artists from the M HKA collection such as Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven, Vaast Colson, and Liesbeth Grupping, alongside insights from museum staff like Lotte Bode and Christine Clinckx. Artists were chosen through an open call targeting mental healthcare networks in Antwerp, based on their recent work and commitment to growth. The program features portfolio reviews, guided tours, photography, and feedback sessions, culminating in a presentation and reception on M HKA's rooftop terrace in mid-September. This pilot project aims to explore future opportunities for artists in the larger art community. (IBW Bolder Antwerp), Den 138 (Albe Kapellen), kunsthuis Yellow Art (OPZ Geel), Club Colorado (De Warande Turnhout), and (W)onderweg (Wilrijk).
