architecture-design · 2026-04-07

Finished in 2023, House Meriportti is a family residence spanning 203 square meters, crafted by LUO Architects along Finland's coastline. This home features a courtyard that is shielded on three sides from the severe winds and storms of the sea. Located near a charming old harbor, it acts as a maritime gateway for its inhabitants. The project, overseen by Hadir Al Koshta, includes photography by Kalle Kouhia. Various suppliers such as Klas1-yhtiöt, Laattapiste, Leinosen Sahatuote, Liuski Timber, Lumon, Profin, Stala, Tapwell, Tiileri, and Woodio contributed materials for its construction. The architects specifically designed this coastal haven for their family's personal use.
