Luigi Ghirri's 'Felicità' Photographs Published in New Book by Bolzoni and Guadagnino

'Luigi Ghirri Felicità' showcases 45 previously unpublished color images by the late Italian photographer Luigi Ghirri, who passed away in 1992. This collection is part of an exhibition organized by Alessio Bolzoni and Luca Guadagnino at the Thomas Dane Gallery in London. The initial portfolio is prefaced by Ghirri's 1985 text from 'Les Cahiers de la Photographie,' beginning with a photograph taken in Modena in 1971. The series features various surfaces adorned with paper scraps, transitions to vertical compositions, and ultimately captures broader scenes and individuals from the 1980s in places like Bologna and Marina di Ravenna. Scheduled for release by MACK in 2026 at £50, the book also includes two additional writings by Ghirri but does not feature an introduction.
