Louise Bristow and Russell Webb Present Still-Life Exhibition at Gallery Dodo

Louise Bristow and Russell Webb are exhibiting together in "and other trivial matters" at Gallery Dodo within Phoenix Art Space from April 26 to June 8, 2025. The show features Bristow's paintings alongside Webb's sculptures, all unified under a still-life theme. Webb's works include pieces like "Stick Surgery (viii)", "Lost Memory", "Little Victories", "Family Tree", "Aspiration (Manet)", and "Venus Figure", which often depict discarded or damaged everyday objects. Bristow's paintings carry titles such as "The People's Forum", "Red Vienna", "Common Market", and "Playground", referencing mid and eastern European and Soviet imagery. The installation comprises thirteen three-dimensional objects displayed on four shelves and over forty still-life items represented in four paintings.
