Lori Nelson's Art Glass Collection Heads to Auction
On October 8, 2026, Goldberg Coins & Collectibles will hold an auction in Los Angeles and online for the estate of Lori Nelson (1933-2020), a notable fashion model and actress renowned for her roles in 1950s and 1960s film and television. Her extensive collection includes hundreds of art glass pieces from both French and American artists, featuring renowned names like Tiffany, Gallé, Steuben, and Daum Nancy, among others from the 19th and early 20th centuries. According to Freeman Fisher, Director of Collectibles at Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Nelson, who had a contract with Universal Pictures, curated one of the largest private art glass collections. Remarkably, nearly all of her over 300 items survived the 6.7 magnitude Northridge earthquake in 1994, thanks to her meticulous preservation efforts. Details about the auction, which will showcase museum-quality pieces, will be released soon.
