Lookingglass Theatre Appoints New Leadership, David Schwimmer as Producing Director

Lookingglass Theatre in Chicago has unveiled its new leadership structure, appointing David Catlin and Ericka Ratcliff as co-artistic directors, taking over from Kasey Foster, alongside Philip R. Smith as the executive director. David Schwimmer steps in as the producing director, concentrating on fundraising and building partnerships. Catlin described the transition as "an exciting new infusion of leadership," while Schwimmer pointed out the necessity to "adapt to survive." The leadership team intends to revive a four-show season, possibly collaborating again as they did with "Kowalski." Under the guidance of chair Deann Bayless, the board has enhanced community connections. A $2.5 million grant from Illinois will improve the lobby. Notably, Lookingglass has been instrumental in launching the careers of prominent ensemble members, including Schwimmer.
