Liu Cheng-Hsiang presents large-scale installation 'Los Huesos de la Tierra, El Aliento de la Luz' at Genalguacil Museum

Taiwanese artist Shawn Liu, whose full name is Liu Cheng-Hsiang, has launched his exhibition titled 'Los Huesos de la Tierra, El Aliento de la Luz' at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo 'Fernando Centeno' located in Genalguacil, Málaga. This extensive installation features local olivine stones, charred wood, and algorithmic projections that reflect themes of landscape memory and fire. The project was developed during Liu's residency in Genalguacil, funded by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture and the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Spain, in partnership with the local town council. Liu, a graduate with honors from the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London, founded Shawn Liu Studio in 2016, which has worked with over fifty clients, including Louis Vuitton and the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts. His exhibition will be open until October 18, 2026.
