Lisa Przystup's 'Once Around the Sun' Chronicles a Year in the Western Catskills
Lisa Przystup, a design writer and former florist, has launched *Once Around the Sun*, an almanac-themed book subtitled "seasonal rituals, food, and stories from a house upstate." The book features photography by Kate Foster and John Hesselbarth. Przystup, who has written for Domino, Vogue, and New York magazine, purchased her Catskills farmhouse with her husband, Jonathon Linaberry, in 2016. It showcases seasonal customs, such as growing tomatoes in summer and autumn traditions. She emphasizes that rituals "inject a certain amount of magic" into life’s transitions. Fall activities highlighted include roast chicken, tablescaping with bread, and apple-picking, while city residents can explore flower markets or Central Park.
