Lia and Dan Perjovschi's First Joint Retrospective in Romania Opens in Bucharest in 2026

Opening April 3, 2026, at ARCUB—Cultural Center of Bucharest Municipality, the exhibition DRAFT for a Joint Retrospective will occupy all three levels of the Hanul Gabroveni venue. This major presentation celebrates four decades of work by Lia Perjovschi and Dan Perjovschi, two pivotal figures in Romanian contemporary art. Their practices will be placed in dialogue, featuring Dan Perjovschi's politically charged drawings and wall interventions alongside Lia Perjovschi's research-based projects. The show runs through July 26, 2026. It is the first large-scale joint exhibition of the artists' work in their home country. Key works that have defined the local art scene and elevated Romania's international profile will be assembled. The exhibition aims to trace the impact of their combined forty-year artistic practice.
