Lenka Clayton Featured in Art21's Human Nature Episode

Lenka Clayton, a Cornwall-born artist now living in Pittsburgh, is the focus of a new short film by Art21, featured in their Human Nature episode. She creatively reimagines everyday objects, saying, "I look at things meant to function a certain way and intentionally misinterpret their use." The documentary showcases her colorful culinary artwork, where tongs are arranged in a grid, and a project documenting items her baby son pulled from his mouth, like buttons and acorns—also displayed in a grid format. Clayton emphasizes the significance of connections, remarking, "Life is all about connection, and my art explores that." She also created an open-source residency for artist mothers.
