Lea O'Loughlin Named CEO of Acme as Richard Kingsnorth Departs After 30 Years

Lea O'Loughlin has been named the new CEO of Acme, a London-based organization for artists, taking over from Richard Kingsnorth, who is stepping down after three decades. O'Loughlin, who previously served as Co-Director, will maintain stability at England's largest provider of affordable artist studios, which supports over 800 artists across 15 locations in Greater London. Kingsnorth began his journey with Acme in 1996, became Head of Finance in 2005, and assumed the role of Co-Director in 2018. Under his leadership, Acme's finances improved, affordable studio options expanded, and the organization navigated the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. O'Loughlin, who joined Acme in 2008 and became Co-Director in 2018, acknowledged Kingsnorth's significant impact, emphasizing that Acme's future will build on his legacy. Acme was established in 1972.
