Laumeier Sculpture Park Appoints Scott Malbaurn as Executive Director

Scott Malbaurn is set to become the Executive Director at Laumeier Sculpture Park on August 31, moving from his role at the Schneider Museum of Art at Southern Oregon University. With over 20 years in arts leadership, he’s well-versed in curation and museum management, having successfully promoted contemporary art and community-focused projects. His approach highlights the connections between art, nature, public areas, and civic engagement, all while striving to make cultural experiences more accessible. Meridith McKinley, the board president at Laumeier, expressed her enthusiasm following a national search led by EMD Consulting. During his 11-year tenure at the Schneider Museum, Malbaurn significantly boosted philanthropic contributions.
