Lara Saget Opens Brooklyn Studio for Hyperallergic's 356th 'A View From the Easel'
In its 356th edition of 'A View From the Easel,' Hyperallergic features Brooklyn-based artist Lara Saget. Since 2018, Saget has been utilizing her studio, which she initially shared with five peers after completing her studies at NYU. Over the past eight years, she has taken control of two-thirds of the original space, immersing herself in various mediums such as painting, glass, stone, and metal, which she categorizes into separate areas. Her rock room showcases her lifelong fascination with stones. While working on her master of divinity, Saget listens to spiritual recordings during painting sessions and upbeat music for physical tasks. She begins her mornings with meditation and exercise and enjoys trips to the Met to view ancient sculptures. Hyperallergic welcomes studio submissions from artists across all disciplines.
