Laika's Wildwood: Behind the Scenes at London's Design Museum

From 15 October to 10 January, the Design Museum in London will present 'Laika presents Wildwood,' timed with the release of Laika's film Wildwood. Established in 2005 in Oregon, Laika is recognized for its Oscar-nominated works, including Coraline (2009) and Kubo and the Two Strings (2016). This exhibition, created in partnership with Laika, explores the film's creative journey, showcasing character designs, costumes, and props. Wildwood, inspired by Colin Meloy's Wildwood Chronicles, tells the story of a seventh grader on a quest to save her brother from an enchanted forest, with Laika obtaining the rights in 2011. The display also features Laika's artistic evolution over twenty years, with original artifacts and interactive exhibits. Laika COO David Burke remarked, "Wildwood represents everything Laika believes animation can be."
