La Napoule Art Foundation Launches Immersive Retreats at Historic French Château

The La Napoule Art Foundation has introduced Threshold Art Retreats, a new program offering five-day immersive experiences at the Château de La Napoule in southern France. These retreats, open to participants of all backgrounds, combine artistic instruction with wellness activities in a historic setting overlooking the Mediterranean. The program runs from June through September each year, featuring specialized workshops such as artist bookmaking, figure painting, and color exploration. Mentorship is provided by accomplished artists, many of whom are former residents of the château, fostering artistic exchange and community. The retreats support the foundation's mission by helping sustain the historic site and its artist residency programs. The Château de La Napoule was transformed nearly a century ago by Henry Clews Jr. and Marie Clews from an 11th-century fortress into an artistic sanctuary, with the foundation established in 1950. The retreats aim to make transformative artistic experiences more accessible while preserving the historic venue that enables them.
