La Capella launches Rotating AiRs international artist residency program with European funding

La Capella in Barcelona, in partnership with Hotel Maria Kapel (Netherlands) and MORPHO (Belgium), has initiated the Rotating AiRs open call aimed at European artists. This initiative provides three traveling residencies, each offering €16,800 in fees along with €3,000 for production, which includes transportation and lodging. The first residency will commence in Mexico City in February 2027 and will conclude in Antwerp by October 2027. The second will start in Yogyakarta in September 2027 and wrap up in Barcelona in May 2028. The final residency kicks off in Lubumbashi in March 2028, finishing in Hoorn by September 2028. The jury is composed of David Armengol, Caroline Dumalin, Inez Piso-Tuncay, Gaelle Van Lede, Maria Isserlis, and Dito Yuwono. Applications are due by May 1, 2026.
