Kunstverein Aughrim Announces Autumn Programme: The Clearing Finale

Kunstverein Aughrim has unveiled its upcoming autumn programme, headlined by the closing event of Vaari Claffey's major public programme, The Clearing. This programme, which has been a summer-long pitstop in Claffey's curatorial practice, includes an exhibition titled 'nobody ever brings anything small into a bar' at Kunstverein Aughrim, a live event called 'Fly Specks' at the Craic in the Granite Music & Arts Festival in Aughrim, and a performance and screening programme, 'Buried with the Machine,' at The Courthouse Arts Centre in Tinahely. The Clearing features new commissions developed in close collaboration with artists and is supported by an Arts Council Project Award. Claffey, along with Brian Hand, has explored time as an active agent in the programme. The autumn programme will also include a symposium, though details are yet to be announced. The events aim to invite pause for reflection before continuing on possible and unknowable journeys.
