Kruso Art Launches New Milan Headquarters with Single-Owner Italian Collection Auction

Kruso Art inaugurates its new Milan headquarters on April 15, 2026, with a single-owner auction titled 'Ciak si colleziona: l’arte contemporanea di domani.' The auction house has relocated to the renovated former De Amicis cinema at Via Edmondo De Amicis 36, leaving its previous shared space at Largo Augusto with Banca Sistema. This marks Kruso Art's first venture into the single-owner sale format, featuring nearly 60 lots from a private Italian collection built over decades. The top lot is Remy Zaugg's 'De la cécité, mais/moi/je te/vois' with an estimate of €25,000–30,000, followed by Markus Oehlen's 'Stooge' (€10,000–12,000) and Darren Almond's 'Infinite Betweens: Reality Between. Phase 1' (€8,000–12,000). Other highlights include Yael Bartana's 2006 photographic diptych 'Untitled (Andromeda's Rock)' (€3,000–6,000) and Giuseppe Stampone's 2013 work 'E il cielo è sempre più blu' (€8,000–10,000). The anonymous collector described the collection as focused on 'the art of tomorrow.' Concurrently, Kruso Art has appointed Jacopo Antolini as head of its modern and contemporary art department, bringing two decades of experience from other major auction houses. Antolini emphasized that single-owner auctions offer a narrative, autobiographical component beyond individual artworks.
