Kristin Marie Bachmann's Woven Sculptures Transform Texas Tower in Houston Exhibition

Artist Kristin Marie Bachmann presented her exhibition 'Sacred Space' at Texas Tower in Houston from June 15, 2025, to March 1, 2026. The site-specific installation featured 35 woven cubic sculptures integrated throughout the building's second floor. Bachmann, who studied at Parsons School of Design after a career shift from law, creates works that explore spatial relationships, architecture, and movement. Her practice draws from influences including Donald Judd, Anni Albers, and Richard Serra, as well as her childhood background in dance and theater. The exhibition demonstrated her approach to weaving as a sculptural medium that engages with architectural environments.
