Kong Lingnan's Tarot-Inspired Paintings Open at Capsule Hong Kong

Capsule in Hong Kong presents Kong Lingnan's solo exhibition 'The Fool's Journey,' featuring 22 oil paintings on wood created between 2023 and 2024. The series metaphorically interprets the Tarot's Major Arcana, tracing spiritual growth from ignorance to wisdom. Opening March 21 and running through April 12, 2026, the show is located at Suite 2501, Landmark South, 39 Yip Kan Street in Wong Chuk Hang. Kong Lingnan, born in 1983 in Jilin, China, and based in Beijing, explores the spiritual world through abstracted portrayals. Individual works like 'The Magician' (2023) depict creativity and awakening, while 'The Lover' (2024) examines relationships and moral dilemmas. 'The Hermit' (2024) illuminates wisdom found in solitude, and 'The Hanged Man' (2024) offers perspectives through self-sacrifice. Paintings such as 'The Star' (2024), 'The Moon' (2024), and 'The Sun' (2024) guide toward unity with 'The World' (2024), reflecting on universal life experiences through mysticism.
