Kjetil Skøien Presents Collage Exhibition 'Evigheten varer lengst' at Entrée in Bergen

Kjetil Skøien presents his solo exhibition 'Evigheten varer lengst (Eternity Lasts the Longest)' at Entrée in Bergen, showcasing collage creations that span two decades, crafted from materials gathered in cities like Paris, Berlin, Tangier, and Rome. This marks Skøien's inaugural solo exhibit dedicated entirely to collage, where he reconstructs overlooked images sourced from cafés, galleries, and theaters. The opening night featured a performance inspired by texts from Kurt Schwitters, emphasizing his interdisciplinary approach. Born in 1952 and a graduate of the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts, Skøien resides in Oslo. Since the 1980s, his work has gained international recognition, and he established the project theater Passage Nord in 1986. His collages act as visual diaries, intertwining architecture, body, and landscape.
