Keith J. Varadi Launches 'Away from Desk' Initiative at Wilshire Online in Los Angeles

Keith J. Varadi, associated with Gene’s Dispensary, has initiated a new project titled 'Away from Desk,' hosted by Wilshire Online in Los Angeles. The program runs from February 24 to March 15, 2026, coinciding with the city's art fair week. It features five galleries operating outside conventional art world structures, presenting works by seven artists: Pamela Ramos (Leroy’s), Eduardo Consuegra (The Fulcrum), Jesse Benson (Gene’s Dispensary), Hannah Weinberger (O-Town House), Jacob Lenc (Five Churches), Stanya Kahn (JOAN), and Constantinos Hadzinikolaou (JOAN). The initiative is described as an alternative to traditional art fairs, offering a hybrid model with regular hours during the first week and appointment-only viewings for the remaining two weeks. It aims to foster community and highlight artists amid contemporary socio-economic challenges.
