Kate M. McNamara Named Director of Harvard's Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts

The Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts has selected Kate M. McNamara as its new director. McNamara, who has been leading the institution for the past year, expressed enthusiasm about expanding the center's role as a contemporary art hub through new residencies, exhibitions, publishing projects, and community partnerships. She aims to foster an environment where artists, students, scholars, and local residents can engage with art as a collaborative practice. McNamara is also a curator, educator, author, and founder of the contemporary art initiative ODD-KIN.
