Kasper Łobocki Designs River-Integrated House in Kaszczorek Using Traditional Vistula Architecture

A residence crafted by Kasper Łobocki from Gaspard Łobocki Studio has been constructed at the mouth of the Drwęca River in Kaszczorek. This design embodies modern architecture along the Vistula riverside, drawing inspiration from traditional Olender and fishermen's homes. Emphasizing authenticity, simplicity, and harmony with the landscape, the lower section is partially set into the earth, while the upper level offers views of the Vistula valley. The building boasts a gable roof pitched at 35 degrees, adorned with black ceramic tiles and a charred spruce wood exterior achieved through the shou sugi ban method. Inside, natural materials prevail, featuring a central blue kitchen crafted by local artisans. A terrace enhances outdoor living, designed according to permaculture principles to strengthen ties with nature.
