Karim Boumjimar presents Birds of Paradise exhibition at Viborg Kunsthal

At Viborg Kunsthal, Karim Boumjimar's exhibition, Birds of Paradise, showcases an array of ceramic sculptures, drawings, and spatial installations that delve into themes of animal display, sexuality, and identity. This artist crafts a sensual environment featuring both large and small ceramic pieces, vibrant watercolors, and a compelling video installation in the main wing. Drawing inspiration from cruising parks and concealed ecosystems, the exhibition portrays the body as a dynamic entity—both avian and terrestrial—constantly evolving and filled with desire. Boumjimar, who earned his degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2025, has exhibited at venues such as O–Overgaden Institute for Contemporary Art in Copenhagen and CFHILL in Stockholm. His works are included in collections like Pori Kunstmuseum and the Miettinen Collection.
