July Book Bag: US Folk Art, Bruce Gilden, Gary Hume, and More

The Museum of Modern Art in New York presents an exhibition of Abby Aldrich Rockefeller's American folk art collection, featuring weathervanes and stencilled still-lifes from New England, Pennsylvania, and the mid-Atlantic states. 'Black Curators Matter,' edited by Kellie Jones and Tumelo Mosaka and published by Getty Research Institute, compiles conversations between established curators like Lowery Stokes Sims and emerging professionals, covering Black curatorial impact since the 1970s.
