Julien Dossena’s Rabanne Era Celebrated in Vogue Retrospective

Vogue published a retrospective of Julien Dossena’s work at Rabanne, coinciding with his departure after 13 years. The brand, originally founded in 1966 by Spanish jeweler-designer Paco Rabanne, shortened its name by dropping “Paco” under Dossena. He collaborated with H&M and served as guest designer for Jean Paul Gaultier couture in fall 2023. Dossena, who studied in Belgium and worked under Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga, blended futuristic elements with a bohemian sensibility, using mixed prints, Peter Max-like motifs, and reproductions of Salvador Dalí artworks. The slideshow features models including Gigi Hadid, Zendaya, Kendall Jenner, and Cara Delevingne wearing Rabanne designs.
