Jonathan Van Meter's 'Citizen Kim' Offers First Authorized Biography of Kim Kardashian
So, there's this new biography about Kim Kardashian called 'Citizen Kim,' written by Jonathan Van Meter, and it's coming out on October 27. He spent five years on it, interviewing Kim, her family, and friends for over 100 hours, mostly at her home in Hidden Hills. Van Meter’s angle is pretty interesting; he frames it like a superhero origin story, diving into their sponsored content work, Kim's Armenian roots, and how the fashion world views her family. He decided not to interview Kanye West to keep the focus on Kim. The book was sold in late 2020, and he started writing in March 2021. Key figures in the book include Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, but Paris Hilton canceled her interviews a bunch of times.
