Jonathan Greenberger Appointed as Politico's New Editor-in-Chief

Jonathan Greenberger has been named the incoming editor-in-chief of the political news organization Politico, effective May 1. He will succeed co-founder John Harris, who is transitioning to the role of chairman. Greenberger, who currently serves as Executive Vice President at Politico, previously worked as bureau chief for ABC News. The announcement was made by parent company Axel Springer, whose CEO Mathias Döpfner praised Greenberger as an innovator with technological expertise, journalistic excellence, and cross-platform experience. Döpfner expressed gratitude to Harris for co-founding the institution nearly two decades ago. Politico, established in 2007, is a global news outlet focused on politics with over 1,000 journalists and publishing professionals across offices in Washington, Brussels, London, Paris, Berlin, Sacramento, and New York. It is recognized as a successful digital media startup and a rare example of a growing, profitable, and sustainable news enterprise.
