Johanna Breede PHOTOKUNST Presents 'Elective Affinities' Group Show in Berlin

The exhibition 'Elective Affinities' has been launched by Johanna Breede PHOTOKUNST, showcasing the work of 24 photographers. This group display will be held in Berlin from July 4 to October 23, 2026. Inspired by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's idea of 'elective affinities,' the exhibition delves into the enigmatic relationships among images. The artworks are presented in diptychs, highlighting surprising resonances in form, light, gesture, atmosphere, and emotion. Several of the featured artists have never crossed paths, with some creating their pieces decades apart or hailing from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds.
