Jessica Silverman Gallery Announces Representation of Neo-Pop Artist Koak

Jessica Silverman has announced that her gallery will now represent Koak, a California-based artist known for paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Koak's work examines themes of life, death, and desire through a Neo-Pop lens, but departs from the genre's typical ironic detachment by using popular culture as a means to explore psychological depth. The artist, who began exhibiting at age 15, draws on diverse influences including European Expressionism and Japanese animation, employing vivid line work to create pieces marked by emotional directness, clear figuration, and abstract elements. New paintings and works on paper by Koak will be presented by Jessica Silverman at EXPO Chicago from April 9 to 12, 2026. A solo exhibition at the gallery is scheduled to open in March 2027.
