Jeremy Melvin, WAF curator and architecture writer, dies at 62
Jeremy Melvin, a prominent British writer, curator, and academic in modern architecture, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 62 on July 14 in South Africa, as reported by the Architects’ Journal. He played a significant role in the World Architecture Festival (WAF), which was established in 2008 by Paul Finch, and collaborated with Finch and William Menking. Born on June 7, 1964, to architects Peter and Muriel Melvin, he earned his degrees from The Bartlett, University College London. An accomplished author, Melvin held various academic positions and was in the process of writing a book about architect Jo Noero at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife Lisa and their twin children. The upcoming WAF is scheduled for November 18–20 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
