Jean Katambayi Mukendi's first solo museum show at M HKA in Antwerp
From June 6 to September 27, 2026, the Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp, known as M HKA, will showcase RATIO, the first solo exhibition by Jean Katambayi Mukendi in a museum setting. This exhibition is part of M HKA's IN SITU project, which aims to commission fresh artistic pieces. Mukendi, who has a background in electrical work, explores themes like the divide between natural and artificial, the balance of growth and decay, and the relationship between resources and authority. He views a ratio as the link between two elements, focusing on issues related to North-South relations, economic exchanges, and inequalities in power. The exhibition will run for almost four months.
