Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem will make his theatrical debut at age 57 in '¡Chéjov, Chéjov!', a production directed by his mentor Juan Carlos Corazza. The show, based on short works and writings by Anton Chekhov, runs from November 5, 2026 to January 31, 2027 at Espacio Zafra Teatro in Madrid. Bardem, who has never performed on stage before, will be joined by fellow Corazza students Alicia Borrachero, Rafa Castejón, Ben Temple, and Manuela Velasco. The actor recently stated, 'Neutrality is not an option in the face of the atrocities we are experiencing.' His upcoming film 'El ser querido' is scheduled for release in late August.
