Jan Baszak's Letztraum Exhibition Explores Interspecies Architecture at ZAMEK Culture Centre

In 2025, Jan Baszak, an artist originally from Poland and now based in Berlin, unveiled his solo exhibition titled "Letztraum" at the ZAMEK Culture Centre in Poznań. The exhibition, curated by Jagna Domżalska and Kamil Mizgała, showcased textile and metal structures designed as habitats for interspecies coexistence. Baszak's sculptures incorporate reclaimed textiles and altered metal, delving into themes of counterfeit design. Notable recent exhibitions include "Dead Dogs Don't Die" at SLUG in Leipzig (2024) and "Skinned And Spinned" at the WHOISPOLA/Constellation Festival in Warsaw (2025). A PhD candidate at the Academy of Arts in Szczecin, he earned his degree from the University of Fine Arts in Poznań in 2017. His work has been documented by photographer Filip Preis and featured at Vienna Contemporary 2025 and "1.90 m" at CSW Zamek Ujazdowski in Warsaw.
