Jack Lenor Larsen Collection Auction to Benefit LongHouse Reserve

Rago/Wright will auction works from the collection of Jack Lenor Larsen (1927–2020), the renowned textile designer, artist, and author, on July 28th. Titled 'Object of Identity: Sold to Benefit LongHouse Reserve,' the sale supports the East Hampton institution Larsen founded, which embodies his belief in the dialogue between art, craft, design, architecture, and nature. The auction features selections from his private collection, assembled through decades of relationships with artists and artisans. Leading lots include Olga de Amaral's fiber sculpture 'Tierra y oro 5' (est. $300,000–500,000) and works by Judy Kensley McKie. Proceeds directly benefit LongHouse Reserve.
