Israel Blocks MSF Registration for Gaza Operations

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has been denied registration by Israel for its operations in Gaza, as the organization refuses to hand over the names of its Palestinian local staff, citing the impossibility of sharing such sensitive data with a warring party. Since October 2025, a fragile ceasefire has been in place in Gaza, but Israeli airstrikes continue to hit civilians. In recent months, over 1,000 people have been killed and more than 3,200 injured, according to local health authorities. Many Palestinians remain displaced. Joan Tubau, MSF's emergency coordinator, stated that while violence has decreased overall, he would not characterize the situation as a ceasefire due to ongoing airstrikes.
