Immersive Miles Davis Centennial Exhibition Opens in Pordenone in 2026

An immersive exhibition titled 'MILES DAVIS 100 – LISTEN TO THIS!' will be presented in Pordenone, Italy, from May 8 to July 12, 2026. The show marks the centenary of the jazz legend's birth and will be hosted at Villa Cattaneo, the future Musical Future Pole. Curated by scholar Enrico Merlin, the exhibition features an interactive database with over 2,000 official recordings, allowing visitors to navigate Davis's sonic universe. Key artifacts include Davis's original trumpet from collector Don Hicks, archival documents, and photographs by Anthony Barboza. The event is supported by the Davis family and institutions like the American Jazz Museum and House of Miles, positioning it as a major cultural initiative ahead of Pordenone's designation as Italian Capital of Culture in 2027.
