Ilia Belorukov Releases Experimental Album Using Nord Drum 2 Synthesizer

Sound artist Ilia Belorukov has released 'NRD DRM TWO 2022-2024,' an album consisting of thirteen tracks created exclusively with a Nord Drum 2 percussion synthesizer. The Russian-born artist, now based in Serbia, employs a minimalist approach focused on reverb algorithms to transform the instrument's sound without additional editing. The project explores acoustic spaces through methodical configurations, shifting the synthesizer from its traditional rhythmic role to a generator of textures and atmospheres. Released on the Crónica label, the work emphasizes deep listening and reveals layers of sonic detail through careful manipulation of reverb effects.
