IED Milano restructures communication school with three new courses

IED Milano has announced a major restructuring of its Scuola di Comunicazione, introducing three new three-year diploma programs for the 2026/2027 academic year. The new offerings—Design della Comunicazione, Art and Communication, and Marketing e Management per le Industrie Creative—are designed as interconnected tracks sharing a common project-based methodology. Sara Fortunati, currently director of Circolo del Design di Torino and vice president of MAUTO (Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile), has been appointed Head of Communication School IED Milano. The reform emphasizes communication as a cultural practice, aiming to train professionals who can navigate design, visual culture, market strategies, and new technologies with a critical approach. Danilo Venturi, Director of IED Milano, stated that the new structure rejects simplistic answers and embraces contemporary complexity, positioning IED as a transdisciplinary laboratory where technological evolution is interrogated rather than passively accepted. The courses will be taught in both Italian and English.
