ICO Museum Launches 20th Century Sculpture and Drawing Exhibition for 30th Anniversary

The Museo ICO in Madrid has opened 'Transitar el siglo XX. Dibujo y escultura en las Colecciones ICO,' the first of three exhibitions in its 2026 program marking the institution's 30th anniversary. Curated by María Toral and organized by Fundación ICO, the display features 34 artists' small-scale sculptures and drawings from the ICO Collections, spanning from early 1900s to the 1980s. Works by historical figures like Julio González and Eduardo Chillida appear alongside contemporary creators such as Miquel Barceló and Susana Solano, tracing Spanish sculpture's evolution through movements like Cubism, Surrealism, and Informalismo. The exhibition runs until May 10, 2026, with free admission and educational programs.
