British-based Chinese artist Huiyuan Zhang has gained attention for her innovative ceramic work that challenges traditional craft boundaries. Between 2025 and 2026, her practice was featured in multiple international exhibitions. In Sydney, her 'Dharma Rain 2.0' series was presented at the Creative Asia Art Centre as part of the Sydney Multicultural Arts Festival, exploring childhood memory through spontaneous kiln processes. In Milan, her 'Interbeing Echo' installation at Home Consciousness Research examined structural tension using bamboo and ceramic elements. In Venice, her piece 'Repair Is Not Restoration' was shown at the Malamegi Lab Art Prize exhibition, addressing themes of repair and imperfection by sewing broken porcelain with colored threads.
