Hugh Devlin Foundation Launches to Support Emerging Creatives
At the London Design Museum, Sarah Polden Devlin launched the Hugh Devlin Foundation to honor her late husband, Hugh Devlin, a renowned lawyer celebrated for his work with leading creatives. As a partner at Withers and the creator of Delightful, he devoted a significant part of his career to pro bono work, protecting artists, designers, and entrepreneurs from exploitative agreements. The foundation provides complimentary legal, financial, and commercial support to new creatives, freelancers, and small businesses. Notable founding partners include Anya Hindmarch, Charlotte Tilbury, and Christopher and Tammy Kane. Director Jade Mitchell plans to develop a resource website and collaborate with groups like the British Fashion Council. Hugh Devlin sadly passed away unexpectedly in 2023.
