Huawei Unveils AI Pose Suggestions in Pura 90 Series Smartphone

Huawei's upcoming Pura 90 series introduces an AI pose suggestions feature that critiques the popular V-sign gesture common in East Asian photography. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer released a teaser yesterday showing how the Camera app displays drawing outlines to guide subjects into alternative postures. A narrator in the promotional material claims "Fresh ideas in every shot" for the Huawei Pura 90 Series AI photo pose. The V-sign, or peace sign, gained popularity in the region during the 1980s, with some attributing its spread to Japanese actor Jun Inoue's Konica camera advertisement. Huawei will formally unveil the Pura 90 series on April 20. DailyHunt reports the Pura 90 Pro Max will include a 200-megapixel telephoto lens with 20x zoom capability, while the main camera features a one-inch sensor producing 50-megapixel photos. The previous Huawei Pura 80 Ultra model boasted exceptional dynamic range through a lens-swapping system with two telephoto lenses sharing optical designs but differing focal lengths—one offering 3.7x zoom and another providing 9.4x optical zoom via an internal moving prism.
