Hong Kong Palace Museum explores Forbidden City's global ties in new exhibition

A new exhibition titled "The Forbidden City and the World—Cultural Encounters" has been launched through a collaboration between the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Palace Museum. This exhibition showcases the role of the Forbidden City in fostering cultural exchanges over 600 years, particularly during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. It explores diverse interactions encompassing diplomacy, trade, science, technology, philosophy, and craftsmanship. Since its inception in 2022, the Hong Kong Palace Museum has aimed to promote Chinese culture and facilitate dialogue across cultures, highlighting the significant historical connections between China, Asia, and Europe.
