Honeybees book reveals astonishing bee facts
Mary Trumble and Henry Fried's newly released book, titled "Honeybees," will be available in stores on June 30 from Hardie Grant Books. This captivating work, featuring illustrations by Ashley Simonetto and photography by Jessica Prescott, presents ten intriguing insights about bees. Readers will learn that a single honeybee can visit up to 1,000 blooms daily and that honey has an astonishing shelf life—samples dating back over 5,000 years have been discovered in a Bronze Age burial site in Georgia. Additionally, a queen bee can produce over 1,500 eggs a day, while a worker bee generates only about one-twelfth of a teaspoon of honey.
