Honda Super-N: 80s-inspired electric Kei car with boost mode
Honda has unveiled the Super-N, an electric vehicle inspired by its 1983 City Turbo II but built on the Kei car platform. The design goes beyond traditional Kei dimensions for better handling and aesthetics, as stated by project leader Hidetomo Horita. The car features a boost button delivering 70kW (up from 47kW in normal modes), simulated gear shifts with engine noise via Bose speakers, and a purple color scheme. Practical elements include 'magic seats' that fold flat or lift up. Range is 128 miles real-world, 199 city-only. Priced at £18,995, it competes with BMW 1 Series and Audi A1.
