Hisense XR10 Projector Review: RGB Backlighting Brings Vivid Colors

The Hisense XR10 is a 6,000-lumen RGB backlighting projector with a 6,000:1 native contrast ratio and an adjustable iris. Weighing 23.4 pounds, it uses liquid cooling and runs on the VIDAA OS. Setup takes about 10 minutes. It hits 118% of the BT.2020 color gamut, outperforming the Xgimi Titan Noir Max (110%). However, the Titan adjusts its iris dynamically while the XR10 offers seven manual levels. In real-world movie tests, the XR10 excelled with vibrant colors in films like Inside Out and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but struggled with daytime viewing in bright rooms. Gaming performance was strong with a 240-Hz refresh rate at 1080p and low latency mode. The eARC port had issues with an Onkyo TX-RZ50 AV receiver. Voice control via VIDAA was less capable than Alexa+ or Google Gemini. The XR10 is a top-tier home cinema projector, slightly behind the Titan in benchmarks but comparable in many viewing scenarios.
