High Museum of Art showcases recent photography acquisitions in summer show

From June 12 through September 6, the High Museum of Art will showcase 'New Acquisitions: Photography,' which will focus on its latest photography collection additions. Since the acquisition of its inaugural photograph in 1973 and the creation of a dedicated photography department in 1993, the museum has significantly enhanced its collection. Featured artists include Dawoud Bey, Rahim Fortune, and Catherine Opie, among others. In the past decade, over 3,000 photographs have been added, reflecting a commitment to both contemporary and historical works.
